Yay or Nay, Ria Miranda for Kids?

It's a common temptation and challenge for designer of a brand to create line for kids, the what-to-be-perceived as the 'small' version of their brand's character. Earlier this month, Ria Miranda launched RM Kids clothing series for lovely daughters and baby girls out there.

I was expecting an active, casual, comfortable cotton with loads of cute and sweet little girls appearance, in the same but brighter color hues as Ria Miranda's signature design. Well, those descriptions definitely deosn't represent these images below, some of RM Kids pieces that has already been released. Instead, Ria exercise the same fabrics, and also the pretty same style, of her existing lines (riamiranda and riamiranda prime). I can see the exact mini version of the brands. I got to say, pretty cute, huh?

 

 

I personally think that these designs and structures, are too mature for little girls, don't you think? I'll dress my kids (though I don't have a daughter, yet ;p) in such dressy chiffon clothes, perhaps only once a while in a very special occasion, but definitely not in those full of draperies, pleats and 'heavy looking' ornaments. Well, maybe that's the intention of RM Kids - to provide this collection for that once in a while special moments.
